About the Session

As the world's population grows, efficiency and productivity become ever-more important. For your alternative foods manufacturing business to grow and succeed, efficiency must be a priority in your operations. This means adopting many of the principles established in conventional food processing, such as preventive maintenance, increased automation, tightened quality control, clean-room environments, and more. This presentation will discuss how Industry 4.0 concepts improve traceability, monitoring, and control of food quality, improving safety, manufacturing, automation, and training, predicting sensory and consumer preferences, and reducing loss and waste. In this presentation, we will learn not only about increased automation, proper plant management and improved traceability, but about Industry 4.0 (AI applications, IoT, advanced analytics and the implications of Society 5.0).
