About the Session
The animal agriculture sector is responsible for 83% of the entire food sector’s emissions whilst providing only 18% of the calories. Cultured meat can be a safe and sustainable, molecularly identical alternative. However, there is still no commercially feasible production process and there are very high barriers to entry into the industry such as $100M dollars and 5years needed for deep tech R&D which prevents widespread adoption. We need a meat renaissance so we are creating the “Renaissance Farm ®”, an end to end, scalable, cultured meat production system that enables any food producers to make their own cultured meats, locally.
