Zak's expertise includes upstream supply chains, production and processing infrastructure, ingredients and inputs, B2B startups, foodservice channels, and contract manufacturing for alternative proteins. Zak's work with GFI is focused on identifying key challenges and opportunities at every step of the alternative protein value chain, building relationships with existing and prospective suppliers, promoting alternative proteins in public and private forums, and producing high-value analysis and resources. An active member of the Effective Altruism community, Zak holds a B.A. in business management and joined GFI after several years of experience in sales and working with startups.
