Growing up in the Swabian Alb in the heart of Germany, I completed my high school education and subsequently pursued my mechanical engineering degree at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe. As the son of a working-class family, it was a great privilege to receive such a fantastic education. My family was overjoyed when I returned to the Swabian region after my studies and began my career in product development as a development engineer at Holac in January 2021. Within a few weeks, it became clear that a significant portion of my work would involve machinery for processing plant-based meat alternatives. One of my main focuses was on innovating in the plant-based sector and modularizing our existing portfolio.
