Dr. Efrat Avigad Laron is the Molecular Biology Team Leader at BioBetter, an Agri-Tech start-up company developing a cost-effective, plant-based protein expression platform for producing growth factors for the cellular agriculture industry. Efrat leads a talented team responsible for designing and cloning innovative genetic expression tools and developing analytical methods. Previously, Efrat worked as a pharmacology and project manager at Salzman Group, an Israeli-American pharmaceutical company. Efrat holds a Ph.D. in developmental biology from Bar-Ilan University, School of Medicine, Israel. Efrat is a passionate scientist who believes in the power of Agri-Tech to solve global food and environmental challenges.
