Dr. Raya Liberman-Aloni holds a PhD in Plant Sciences from the Hebrew University and is an accomplished scientist and plant biotechnology expert with expertise in plant metabolic engineering. She has both academic and industry R&D experience. Raya, along with her partner Maya, founded PoLoPo, a company aimed at revolutionizing the food industry by using plants to create animal-based proteins. As a long-time vegan and animal shelter volunteer, she holds the belief that animals should be treated with greater compassion, and from a scientific standpoint, abstaining from animal-based foods and products represents the most sustainable solution for our planet.
