What We Do

Protein Report is dedicated to advancing public understanding of protein — the business, science, and culture of how protein is produced, distributed, and consumed. We publish editorial content, data, and research regarding challenges of existing food systems and emerging solutions. By making science- and evidence-based information about protein accessible to diverse audiences, we support innovation, development, and education toward a safer, more sustainable protein economy. Established in 2018, our readers include food industry professionals, investors, researchers, policy makers, consumers, and other stakeholders with an interest in protein, food, agriculture, and science.

Why We Do It

Our work is driven by the possibility of a brighter future in which sacrifices of the earth’s ecosystems, public health, and animal welfare are no longer deemed necessary. We view feeding the world as an optimization problem with information as a key input.
